Saturday Night, February 27th - Our Annual "Pour For The Cure" was held as always at the ever popular Casey's Drexel Hill.
Once the crowd started to head towards Casey's, our members had a T-Shirt stand set up out front. The T-Shirts came in two types this year, cotton and the most popular moisture wicking material "work out" shirt. The shirts were being sold for $10 and $20 a piece.
Tickets for the event were being sold by our members at the door along with advance purchases. As always, our ticket prices have remained the same at $30 a piece but this year we added the ability to use a square reader so we could accept credit cards (once we figured out the internet connection issue). With the cost of the ticket you get open bar of draft domestic beer, buffet food bar, live band (Round Tower), and the Brian Boru Pipes and Drums performance, the chance to win a 50" SHARP Flat Screen HDTV, and the ability to say you attended the most popular charity event in the area.
Once 3pm came, the live Irish Band Round Tower kicked off the party with an outstanding performance which lasted all night. The taps were open and everyone started having a great time.
Of course as always we had the nice ticket girls walking around with our members selling 50/50's and door prize tickets.
As the night went on, we had the pleasure of listening to outstanding performances from the Brian Boru Pipes and Drums
As of the writing of this article, we do not have the final numbers of how much we raised. However, it was an outstanding turnout and we really want to thank EVERYONE who made it out and all the people who couldn't make it but still donated. We have been receiving great feedback and reports of stories from last night, and some photos that people don't mind sharing. I am sure once everyone starts feeling more "refreshed" we will receive more photos. Please enjoy the gallery below of some photos that people have shared and photos of some very special guests we had in attendance. I would like to thank the following for sharing there photos (Chief Boyce, Terry Caroluzzi, Michelle Cubler, Troy Brown, Caitlin Kohler, and anyone else I may have forgotten)
