Graduation For Firefighter Dave Keeley and PFD Class 190

Saturday January 2nd, 2016 - Today was the graduation for Philadelphia Fire Department Cadet Class #190 which included our own Upper Darby Professional Firefighter Dave Keeley. Firefighter Keeley and the other Philadelphia graduates spent the last 6 months in the academy becoming certified Emergency Medical Technicians, and then Nationally certified Firefighters. They start their morning hours on the "PT" field where they exercise every day and then go on a few mile run every morning. The rest of the day is spent learning their skills as EMT's, Firefighters, and Rescuers.

Upper Darby Professional Firefighters have been attending the Philadelphia Fire Academy when they are hired since the 90's. Some of the many reasons we attend one of the most prestigious Fire Academies in the country is to not only become certified EMT's and Nationally certified firefighters, but to learn the ever important skill of discipline, leadership, honor, integrity, and how to live and work with others and adapt and overcome to any situation.

Great job Firefighters of the #190! Welcome to the BROTHERHOOD!
