Rescue Training at Station 26

On Friday morning the crew on the C platoon at Station 26 trained with their detailed firefighter on how to set up and use the rescue tripod and rope rescue equipment. Our professional firefighters spend many hours practicing and refreshing their skills in their assigned stations, but when a detailed firefighter is assigned with them, they like to show them the equipment of the station.

A detailed firefighter is a firefighter assigned to a station that they normally do not work at for a shift. The detailed firefighter is Firefighter/EMT Tom Thornton and training him on the equipment today is Captain/Paramedic John Calamia and Firefighter/EMT Mike Cubler.
