Mrs. McArdle reached her 83rd birthday on February 12 just after she and her husband, Tom, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 4th. They shared a deep love and affection for one another and for their family which was evident and heartwarming to witness throughout their lifetime and especially over these last weeks. Rose was an avid Phillies and Flyers fan. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh, even if it was at her own expense. Mrs. McArdle and
her husband moved to Upper Darby 48 years ago and she was known for "raising children", not flowers and grass. She loved the Irish music of Blackthorn. She and her husband would enjoy going to their concerts whenver they could. She was the subject of many of John Boyce's stories at the concert. Rose will be missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
