Bensalem paramedic fatally injured at scene of threatened suicide

Bensalem paramedic Daniel McIntosh responded to a call of a suicidal man out on the 2600 block of Knights Road on March 8th, 2010. When he and his partner arrived, the young man fled on foot. McIntosh chased him but didn't get very far. He suffered a massive heart attack and died on the scene. McIntosh was a 13 year veteran of Bensalem EMS and also a part-time police officer and a volunteer firefighter. The 39-year-old McIntosh leaves behind a wife and 2 young daughters, ages 1 and 6. Local 2493 wishes to express their sincere condolences to the McIntosh family and friends and his extended family in his EMS, Police and Fire services.
